The Supplier Quality Manager will report to the Manufacturing Quality Manager and will act as a critical liaison between the engineering and manufacturing departments to evaluate and improve EMS and ODM methods.  This position must have excellent technical, analytical and problem-solving skills, be detail-oriented and highly organized with proven ability to manage priorities, exercise good judgement and flexibility in the face of evolving projects and product requirements.  The Supplier Quality Manager should be able to work cross functionally and influence others without direct authority.  Strong business acumen skills with knowledge of identifying cost saving and improvement opportunities are key attributes for this position.   Specific Responsibilities - Act as a liaison between the engineering and manufacturing departments - Evaluate and improve manufacturing methods at our EMS and ODM providers - Attend product design and bill of material reviews as needed before changes are implemented - Partner with department management to communicate or recommend change of processes and procedures to achieve optimum quality - Recommend revision to methods of operation, material handling, equipment layout, or other changes to increase production or improve throughput - Examine engineering documents for completeness and accuracy prior to product revision or release - Use mathematical or statistical methods to identify or analyze problems - Initiate supplier corrective action based on OQC, IQC, and PIR data - Compile and analyze statistical data to determine and maintain quality products - Inspect manufactured products and materials - Prepare technical reports and related documentation - Record test results, procedures, and inspection data - Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confer with management and engineering departments to determine acceptability standards   Required Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field - 6+ years’ experience in electronics manufacturing in prototype and volume production - Experience in lean manufacturing principles - Experience in the creation and implementation of Standard Operation Procedures & Work Instructions maximizing the effective manufacture of goods - Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex data into actionable strategies - Ability to travel both domestic and internationally   Preferred Qualifications - Advanced degree - Experience working with a PLM software such as Arena, Solidworks, Conluence and/or Jira - Lean, Six Sigma or Kaizen certification
